Sirène
14′ solo canoe
This is a scaled down Ami, intended for solo use. Wider than our other solo canoes it is roughly the same dimensions as the Peterborough Mermaid. Sirène is French for mermaid.
This is the solo canoe you will want for fishing from or carrying your art supplies, the canoe you could stand up in (if you have good balance). Having the same features as the Ami, it moves efficiently through the water yet above the waterline still has enough volume in the ends to keep her dry, even in a chop. Like the Ami it will respond well to kneeling in the bilge Canadian-style, or from a fixed solo seat. It can also be set up as a pack boat with a seat mounted on the floor – whichever you wish.
Moderate tumblehome, 1-1/2″ of rocker with a shallow-arched bottom.
